The second level in the Dynamikum is characterized by exercising yourself. The exhibits in this display area are divided into four Themes: The Speed of Nature, Human Force, Moving and Thinking and The World's Dance

Running, crawling, jumping. The discovery of locomotion.
Tracing the scent of locomotion: this is where you can suss out all the secrets of the natural world. Nature did not just discover the art of walking – nature specialists move in some of the most unusual ways, from which we can learn a great deal. Are you faster than a crocodile or stronger than an eagle? Test your strength!

Keep fit and learn lots. What are the mechanics of your body?
How high can you jump from a standing position? And how much strength do you need to do this? How high can you go using the strength in your arms and what pressure is put on your bones? Whilst in motion, you will find that the laws of mechanics also concern you – and that force is only effective in conjunction with skill!

Moving and Thinking

In Pirmasens, thought experiments have led many discoverers to have explosive ideas! From sound poetry to PAL TV, from punch card computers to video games – inventions never stop happening.
